Mayqueen) purchased at a market in KOBE were investigated by the method of Gull and Isenberg with concentrated sulphuric acid and formaldehyde, and the following results were obtained: \n1. Potato sprouts contained a large amount of solanine more than 100㎎/100g.\n2. The solanine contents of a part (1㎤) around sprout (eliminated sprout) were higher than that of periderm (5㎜ thick) and the contents were found around 40㎎/100g.\n3.
